OMG!
Can I keep all the way real with you? I am SO hype and excited today!!! In all transparency, I am coming off perhaps one of the most transformational weekends of my life and not to mention, we are in the final week of my Embrace Her Legacy Academy: Summer Institute with some fabulous millennial girls who are getting breakthroughs in empowerment, confidence and personal development!
So excited is not even the word right now! I’m just beyond filled with gratitude to be doing exactly what I was created to do. Today I actually had a moment (and I’m literally holding back tears as I write this in the middle of the National Opera Center in New York City), where I felt the anointing of God on me. It’s as if I felt His presence working through me as I led my girls through a powerful visualization exercise. The girls felt excited, empowered and filled with joy to become the women they have been created to be and do what they have each been called to do!!!
What was the powerful exercise you asked?
Of course I’m going to share it with you girl…you’re on my VIP list!! Side bar – Beyonce is in full blast in my ears as I write this so if you sense a little extra sass, it’s her LOL!
Back to the exercise.
I had the girls close their eyes and fast forward to July 18th, 2022. Under the sound of my voice, I had the girls visualize what their life would life would look like if everything were perfect in the following areas: business/career, finances, family/relationships, health and time – which is something I learned in the book, Goals by Brian Tracy.
I asked the girls to get really specific by picturing everything from back account balances, outfits being worn, how their body looked, and even down to walking them through the entire day. What time did you wake up? What did you do in the morning? Where are you going to work? What type of work environment is it? Where are you going to lunch? Are you leading meetings? Are you in love? Did you meet up with your friends for dinner? Where did you go? What type of home, apartment or condo did you wake up in? What type of responsibilities do you have at work?
Then for the next part of the exercise, we came back to July 18th, 2017 where I asked this question, “What are you not doing today that you need to start doing in order to get to that place you want to be on July 18th, 2022?” Then finally, I had the girls make a promise to themselves to do whatever they needed to do in order to to make that their desires a reality.
Class may have ended but the beginning of a new journey had just begun.
So I want you to take the time and do the same exact thing. Take about 10 minutes to visualize what it would look like if everything in your life were perfect in the following areas on July 18th, 2022 – then what would that look like? Business/career, family/relationships, financial future, your time and your health. The key to this exercise is to remove all the limitations in your mind so that you can begin to gain clarity on what you want.
You might not know what you want and that is not good enough. With clarity comes vision, once you gain that clarity – you can begin to take the necessary action steps to get there.
Now you know my mission is to make sure that you get there…you might have to start mending relationships, extend forgiveness or ask for forgiveness, start saving money, enroll in that MBA program, sign up for the gym, incorporate that business or raise those funds for the non-profit.
Whatever it is…in order to win, you need someone who is going to help you so I’m going to share with you a few ways that I’m here to help you achieve that five year vision.
