I know that you’ve heard the saying, “There’s a time and place for everything.” There is a time to cry, a time to laugh, a time to plant, a time to harvest, a time to be apart, a time to reunite, a time to keep silent and a time to speak.
While on the journey of success, there are seasons where you must endure frustration, setback and troubles. Those are your seasons of personal growth.
There are also seasons where you have to wait and it seems like nothing is happen, it’s in those seasons where it’s most tempting to give up but you are developing endurance.
There are also seasons of testing, where you have to apply all that you’ve learned from past experiences to your current circumstances. Your faith is tested and those seasons come to see if you will remain faithful, even if what you see wants to tell you otherwise.
But then…
There are seasons of harvest and utter abundance. You can tell when someone is in their season of breakthrough. It’s that season when God does things that almost break the human capacity and potential. It’s where He comes in with His unlimited power, that is not susceptible to our limitations of time, space and matter – to do something far greater than what you had in mind.
One person that is contemporary that you might know is Tamar Braxton. Before the launch of the show, Braxton Family Values, she spent YEARS as a background singer for her famous big sister, Toni Braxton and others while failing at a solo career…she wanted to be a star but nothing was happening. Until she entered her season of promotion with the uber success of Braxton Family Values which led to launching a successful career as a singer with several hit songs, a spot on Dancing With the Stars, her own spin off reality show and a coveted seat as a former co-host on the hit talk show, The Real. I’m sure she never ever thought this is where she would be 10 years ago!!!
Get ready because I believe you are entering that season now. Walk into it!
The challenge in entering that new season of abundance, breakthrough and miracles is believing it because the immense disappointment of current or past circumstances may want to leave you in doubt.
I’m pretty sure that as you read me telling you that your new season is starting now – you probably doubted it, looked at your circumstances (or your bank account) to try to confirm or better yet, tried to see how you felt about it.
Girl, in living by faith, you cannot trust your feelings! If you keep waiting for your feelings to vote for you then you will be unstable in everything that you do. Faith is not a feeling.
Don’t get used to living in struggle land. Don’t get so comfortable with your circumstances that you will not allow God to do a new thing in your life. Don’t be so fixated on your past that you have no vision for your future.
Oftentimes when God wants to do a new thing in your life, He will send someone to you to announce it to you. The choice is yours to believe and receive it.
You might be waiting for your current season to end but I offer you to see it as already over and that you are starting something new.
The new season of new beginnings, restoration, manifestation of God breaking your human capacity and potential.
Why? Because God does not get glory out of your constant suffering. He does not want to trick you or hurt you. He is looking to promote you.
So if you’ve been faithful with a little, get ready to be faithful with much!
