Can you believe that October is over, November is here and 2018 is only a few weeks a way?

I don’t know about your month but October was a huge eye-opener for me.

If you’ve been going forth towards your dreams for an extended period of time then I’m sure that you’ve been faced with the greatest temptation.

And that’s the temptation to quit. Sometimes that temptation doesn’t really come disguised as a temptation to quit but the temptation to settle for less or adjust your vision to fit your reality.

I was dealing with a lot of that this month. You know I’m all about keeping it real when it comes to what success really looks like. I’m not here to glamorize it as if it does not have it’s challenges.

I started working towards goals certain goals that deep down inside I did not want to manifest. I went after it because I was trying to adjust my vision to fit my reality. In my mind, I wasn’t “giving up”, but I decided to try other options that honestly were not true to my vision. Instead of listening to my instinct, I went on anyway. I reached out to my entire network trying to make this goal happen but to no avail.

I’m glad that God blocked those doors because I was not being faithful to the vision God put in my heart. I didn’t realize it until I reviewed my 5-Year Vision Plan which I wrote out earlier this year. I had to get honest with myself and with God.

My prayer was simple, “God this is what I want.” I had become so distracted by my current circumstances coupled with my faith taking a major hit that I was willing to accept less than God’s best.

No more of that. I made a commitment to be faithful to the vision, not my current challenges.

Is this you? Are you tempted to quit? Or tempted to adjust your vision to fit your reality? Are you even clear on what your vision is?

If you’re not clear on what you want, I want you to create your own 5-Year Vision Plan where you answer this question – if everything were perfect in the following areas of my life in five years, what would that look like?

Business/Career
Finances
Family
Health
Community/Activism
Your Time

The key is to take the limits off your mind. Remember that nothing is impossible with God. We can often underestimate what can get done in five years. Do NOT limit God, write down what your heart desires.

Essentially, you are answering a question that many of us don’t know the answer to. “What do you want?”

You have to get specific with your answers. We all want to be happy, make money, help people, have a good job, start a business etc… but that lacks clarity. When you’re not clear on what your vision is, you will drift through life accepting what comes your way instead of leading your life.

The only reason I was able to get in alignment was because I had a vision written down. I was able to measure whether or not my decisions were aligning with my with my vision. I was able to check myself, reevaluate, adjust and proceed.

That’s what having a vision will do for you – help you make decisions that are beneficial to where you want to go, who you want to be and what you desire to accomplish.

I have an online workshop on this subject in Embrace Her Legacy University available to you now – The 7 Major Keys to Accomplishing Your Goals. This is not for everyone but only for those of you who are serious about making that vision your reality.

Will you be faithful to your vision? Or will you cheat on it with something that isn’t even worth it?
